Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

This statement is made voluntarily by FortressPoint Consulting Ltd ("FortressPoint", "we", "us", "our") in the spirit of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. While our current turnover falls below the £36 million threshold that would make publication of a modern slavery statement a legal requirement, we consider transparency about our approach to modern slavery and human trafficking to be part of good governance and consistent with the values we advise our clients on.

This statement sets out the steps FortressPoint has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our own business or in our supply chains.

Our Organisation

FortressPoint is a cybersecurity and governance consultancy registered in Nigeria, and England and Wales, with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. We provide advisory and consultancy services to clients across both jurisdictions.

As a professional services firm, our operations are people-based rather than reliant on manufacturing, agriculture, or extractive supply chains, which are more commonly associated with higher modern slavery risk. Nonetheless, we recognise that risk can exist within any organisation's operations and supplier relationships, and we take our responsibility seriously regardless of our size or sector profile.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Our supply chains are limited in scope and consist primarily of:

• Professional services providers, including legal, accounting, and IT support
• Software, cloud hosting, and technology service providers
• Office premises, facilities, and utilities providers
• Recruitment and staffing services, where used
• Marketing, design, and communications suppliers

We do not currently engage suppliers involved in manufacturing, raw materials, or labour-intensive production, which are the areas most associated with elevated modern slavery risk. We select suppliers who are, where possible, established and reputable businesses operating in the UK, Nigeria, or other jurisdictions with recognised labour protections.

Our Policies

FortressPoint is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We maintain internal policies and practices that reflect this commitment, including:

• A recruitment policy that verifies the right to work and identity of all employees and contractors
• Fair employment terms, including compliance with applicable minimum wage and working time laws in the UK and Nigeria
• A whistleblowing policy enabling staff to raise concerns, including about suspected modern slavery or unethical conduct, without fear of reprisal
• A supplier code of expectations covering ethical conduct, which we expect key suppliers to adhere to

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment

Given the nature of our business as a professional services consultancy with a limited and low-risk supply chain, our due diligence is proportionate to that risk profile. We:

• Assess new suppliers and major contractors on a case-by-case basis before engagement
• Review key supplier relationships periodically as part of ordinary business governance
• Verify the employment status and right to work of all directly engaged staff and contractors

We have not identified any incidents of modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chains to date. Should any concern arise, we are committed to investigating it thoroughly and taking appropriate action, including ending supplier relationships where necessary.

Training and Awareness

We ensure that relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management, are made aware of the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking, the steps we expect them to take, and how to raise concerns. As our organisation grows, we intend to formalise this awareness into structured training.

Effectiveness of Our Approach

Given our size and current risk profile, we consider our approach to date to be proportionate and effective in identifying and addressing modern slavery risk. As FortressPoint grows, including any expansion of our supply chains or headcount, we will review and strengthen our due diligence and monitoring processes accordingly, including considering formal key performance indicators to measure effectiveness.

Review and Approval

This statement will be reviewed at least annually and updated to reflect any material changes to our business, supply chains, or approach to managing modern slavery risk.
